Peculiarity crept in,
These middle years have shown and told.
Splicing through genes
To unfold, in subtle manifestations.

In utero: brooding and apologetic,
Smooth-muscled symphonies played
To empty space.
Seedlings graced a baneful intervention.

Benign tumours flourished like a plague,
Distending, pushing out of place.
The physiks blade,
Cuts through in bloody severance.
