The Perils of alcohol

Molten sunrise creeps over porcelain;
Rising, malodorous coagulate.
Etiolate washes down albumen,
Sulphur chasing CO2 precipitate.
Homeostasis hangs in the balance,
Fields of alveoli gasping for breath.
Haunted by nystagmus; eyes fixed in trance,
Fingers snatching at the corners of death.
Etangled dendrites squander wits and guile
Nephrons asphyxiating in the dust.
Active gall bladder haemorrhaging bile,
In shadows of vomit in self-disgust.
One night of fun and now you're moribund,
Water is your choice of drink, from now on.
